19th Annual “July Jamz” - July 2023

We kicked off July Jamz with The McDeviants on June 30th at the Logan County Courthouse Gazebo. Each Friday in July featured a top band from the region for this 3 hour outdoor concert. Beer Garden by the Logan County Chamber of Commerce. Food trucks also available.

Art of BBQ Competition - June 30th-July 1st, 2023

This annual, KCBS and RMBBQA-sanctioned event featured 25+ teams competing in the Master Series. Open to the public at the Logan County Courthouse Square with judging, tasting, Backyard competition, July Jamz concert featuring the McDeviants, and beer garden Friday at 6pm and vendors.

Beer, Brats, and Blues - Mural Unveiling - June 17, 2023

LOCAL and the Chamber of Commerce invite the public to celebrate the ribbon cutting of LOCAL's first public art piece to the community at 555 Chestnut Street. Beer and Brats by The Tipsy Cow and Blues by the Circuit Breakers. Performances by Northeastern Dance Academy and County Kick Up. Mural Marketplace Vendors and more! More info

Kermes Mexicano - May 6, 2023

LOCAL and Family Resource Center present Kermes Mexicano! A festival celebrating Mexican culture. May 6th will feature authentic food from local Mexican American owned establishments, drink, dance, costume, games and live music. There will even be a special performance reenacting the Battle of Cinco de Mayo. Join us celebrating Mexican culture at Kermes Mexicano at the historic Logan County Courthouse in downtown Sterling Colorado.

Mediums of Mental Health Mural

A Sources of Strength mural sponsored by Logan County and Centennial Mental Health was painted by LOCAL at Campbell Elementary School. After the mural was completed we had a Mediums of Mental Health event celebrating the many creative mediums that encourage well being and balance. These mediums included dance, paint, music, fiber art, digital art and stained glass.
