Mural Program
LOCAL creates new murals each year in the Sterling Creative District and now throughout Logan County to add to the growing collection of public art that enriches our community life and creates areas of interest for locals and tourists.
Paint by Numbers on Main
The Sterling community gathered at the Hometown Marketplace event in June 2026 for a paint by number mural. This was a multigenerational project with "home on the range" vibes. Come see it installed in the seating area next to Sweetly Vintage at 108 Main Street in Sterling.
Fleming Mini Mural
2025 is all about ART for the Fleming Public Library Summer Reading Program. Each week they learn about a new artform and LOCAL was able to teach about public art and murals in June. The students got to design their own mural based on book illustrations and then help paint one the next week on the Splash Park facilities building.
